Well, Bono, what can I say that millions of people haven't said before me? Probably nothing, but I'm going to say it anyway. You continue to inspire me to be a better person everyday, and I know I'm not the only one. U2's music has kept me going through a difficult year. Songs like "Walk On" give me hope to keep going, even if the going gets rough. I love your lyrics. They fit so many situations in my life, and I love the deep, many meanings to all of them. Also, I can't thank you enough for your support and work with DATA, Product (Red), The One Campaign, and many others. You work is truly inspiring, and I can only dream to help people as much as you do with your voice.

For your birthday, me and a few other people who love you are getting together and watching some U2 DVD's, and possibly making a cake or something like it in your honour. I would have sent you an actual card in the mail, but it wouldn't get there in time, and I wouldn’t know where to send it to anyway. As a gift to you and to others, I can only spread the word about the One Campaign, African Well Fund, Red, DATA and others, and help slowly by small donations. You have taught me that a little means a lot to many people, and so I will continue to give when and what I can.

I took a photo last summer in St. Augustine,Fla of a thunderstorm out over the ocean, it looked like looking through a window in the skies so I called it that, what a coincidence!! I took some beautiful sunrise pictures too,I thought about you loving to watch sunrises. I`ve been painting panaramic pictures of them on canvas, wish I could send you one! I can`t wait to hear the new songs as always! We have a IMAX theatre here in Charlotte so I`m going to see the MOVIE this fall!! I`ve got 3-d glasses already!! Part of me feared that I would never say this, but we've met before. At the U2 by U2 book signing in London on 22nd September 2006 I shook hands with you...and to my surprise and delight you reached up to sign the Live 8 t-shirt I was wearing! Thank you firstly for that - it is a moment I will always treasure.
I've said similiar things to what I'm about to say now in previous years, but I feel like I can't say them enough because my feelings just haven't changed. You are an angel. You were the best thing that ever happened to me, and even now, nearly five years after I heard 'Walk On' on All That You Can't Behind for the first time and decided that life was worth living afterall you have continued to fill my life with hope, joy, faith and inspiration. Your humanitarian work has inspired me to try and find myself in a life of service to others. But also, your influence and intelligence has pointed me in the direction of some of the world's most inspiring thinkers, leaders, activists, poets and preachers, and taught me to follow their influence. But ultimately, it all comes back to you - a life of service to you. You are simply amazing - I only wish I hadn't been too nervous to tell you that when I did finally get to meet you. I hope to God that you do read this.
Someday, maybe I will get to tell you all of this, and more. Afterall, time is a train, it makes the future the past....but it is also a chain...until we see each other again. Until then, closest friend, thank you for everything. Bless you.
