Hey Bono the DNA lottery may have left you smart or sma**, whichever. But it was no lottery when you were chosen by The Almighty to sing on his behalf. To tell the world that it's good not to just see the downside of life but to rejoice and see further than the horizon.
A lovely poem from last years card from Patti O'Riley says it all. You answered God's call and you feel that you really have no choice but to sing for him. And I know that you made a promise to do just that. It is impossible to imagine how many people have gained from that promise. From the poor, the sick, and those in this world who only ask for justice, to people like me who simply have a happier life just being lifted up by your songs.

My daughters are 11 years old - the new generation of U2 fans - and they wanted to donate from their own savings as a gift to help other mothers and their children, so we all chipped in together.
