Project Summary

This project aimed to improve community access to safe water facilities through the sinking, protecting, upgrading and fitting of seven shallow wells and one deep well; to enhance school sanitation systems through the construction of a 1’ x 10’ squat-hole ventilated improved pit latrines at Simbe Primary School; and to improve community knowledge of health, hygiene and management of water and sanitation facilities through Participatory Health and Hygiene Education (PHHE) workshops.
