Building a Safer World: The People Speak on Poverty, Hunger and Health
The African Well Fund will participate in an Iowa United Nations Association (UNA) hearing on poverty, hunger and health on Tuesday, October 18 at Des Moines Capitol Complex at 2pm. The event is being held in connection with the UNA’s celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the UN. There will be a reception and dinner to follow.
The Iowa United Nations Association is a state-wide organization that provides grassroots support for the United Nations System. It develops and relays citizen’s ideas to United Nations and United States leadership. The Iowa UNA heightens public understanding and concern about global issues and their relationship to the UN system through research, education and information services.
