With your activism you help to make important things like fair trade and medical care possible for those who are less fortunate. “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way” is a great song and great theme for this initiative of the African Well Fund. Last year I was lucky to attend an amazing U2 show in Berlin. Accompanied by a wonderful video revealing the uniqueness and power of young people that song created such a hopeful atmosphere and universal feeling of love. We were reminded that we can all contribute to a better world in favour of more humanity and tolerance. It was an intense and joyful experience.

You radiate such incredible light through your philanthropy, activism, music, and just by being you. š Seriously, THANK YOU for inspiring me and so many others. In numerous ways it feels like dark times on the national and international level. It is so encouraging to hear your voice (along with the rest of U2) raising awareness of important issues such as “poverty is sexist” and spreading messages of love. On a personal level, you and U2 have influenced my humanitarian efforts, strengthened my spirituality, and inspired my art work. This past summer, live streaming U2 became a special time shared with my house rabbit Solstice. Every day as soon as she heard the opening notes of Love Is All We Have Left, Solstice would come bounding into the kitchen to listen to the entire show with me. Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way became our anthem after her cancer diagnosis last June. Tears streamed down my face while in the audience during that song and through 13 at MSG 1 & 2 and Mohegan Sun. No other tour, by anyone, has affected me so powerfully. Thank you for so bravely sharing your beautiful heart with the world. Wishing you all the very best on your birthday and always. “And there is a light don’t let it go out.”

I can’t believe it! Just a year ago I was at the Tulsa and Atlanta shows! Both were amazing! I’m also amazed at how much money we have gathered for the people in Africa in your name to help those in need! Absolutely amazing! Now I’m hearing that South Africa is in a drought. And I saw on the news they are digging wells as fast as they can. That’s when I turned to my husband and said, “That’s what I give money to every year…for people to dig and build a well.” Of course he said, “Cool.” But what’s cool is you! Inspiring us every year to not forget about those who are not as fortunate as us.

You continually remind me that I need to push myself to do more and that not only can I make a difference but that it’s my responsibility to do so. Thank you very much for that. There are a lot of domestic challenges here in the United States, where advocacy has become who can shout the most extreme things the loudest.
