African Well Fund is deeply saddened to hear the news that longtime supporter Elsha Stockseth has passed away.
For nearly fifteen years she created annual Christmas cards featuring all of her favorite things and donated proceeds from their sale to AWF. We’re so grateful to her for sharing her time, her enthusiasm, and her talent for so long a stretch, and hope the peace and joy she communicated through her art are felt by her family and friends in this moment.
Reflecting on Elsa’s legacy, AWF chair Diane Yoder offers, “I believe the epitome of human existence is to be able to look beyond your own trials and tribulations and to focus your energies on the needs of others. Elsha Stockseth embodied that pinnacle, as did her parents Joel and Shanna. I am forever grateful for your example of grace and beauty in this imperfect world.”
To read more about Elsha’s commitment to AWF in her own words, you can revisit her ‘Why Do You Give?” interview from ten (!) years ago.
All love forever to E Art by Elsha Stockseth.
