Wishing you a beautiful day for your birthday, full of many blessings! Thank you for all of your humanitarian efforts despite the naysayers. What an amazing thing to inspire so many others to also strive to do good in this world!
On a personal note, thank you for helping to sustain my spirit through your music during trying times, whether it be the loss of loved ones or struggling with chronic tick illness. Kite has been a lifeline (with tears) at times. Almost all of my artwork is painted while listening to U2…nothing else quite stirs the soul so powerfully. I can hardly wait to see you in Boston once again on the 25th…I hope someday our paths will cross so I can thank you in person, but for now I am thankful for the brief moment our eyes connected on July 11, 2015 in Boston at the side of the stage (near Adam) when I put my hand to my heart (love) and gave you the peace sign…and we shared grins…such a powerful moment for me. <3

I’ve been a member of ONE for a long time but only recently stepped-up to be a Congressional District Leader for ONE. I was in Washington D.C. for the ONE Power Summit in February this year and had meetings with my Members of Congress to advocate for the fully funding of the International Affairs budget. It was an amazing, exhilarating and grounding experience. It was the first time that I actually felt like my government wasn’t just some vague entity and that I could really make a difference.
I will continue to use my voice to help change the world. Thanks for the on-going inspiration to do so.

HAPPY 57th BIRTHDAY BONO!!!!!
Howdy! It’s me again! I know I’m a little late doing it this year, but better late than never, right? I’m a teacher, and so I was a little busy with school this year, and there was this little tour called The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 that I was involved with too. So after seeing you in Dallas, I got sick for a week or two…took some needed R&R. Then I saw you again in Cleveland on July 1st. I was the blonde girl on the front rail in front of the main stage in the burnt orange t-shirt that said “TEXAS” on the front, throwing up longhorn signs with my hands. Of course after you recognized me and my shirt, I went completely giddy! After that I had to come back to reality and attend a math teachers conference at the Fort Worth Convention Center for several days…yes the very same arena that you performed in 30 years prior for the original JT tour that’s on the Rattle & Hum Movie!
Anyway, speaking of giddy, I am excited to give to the AWF again this year in your honor! As you can see, I didn’t forget…I’ve just been sidetracked a little bit. Thank you again for being such a huge inspiration! And thank you for putting women on a pedestal! One of these days I will give you a huge hug in return!
