The NYC based Irish pop-rock band Surrey Lane will hold a benefit concert for the African Well Fund on Thursday, July 21st at the Goldhawk in Hoboken, New Jersey. Admission will be $5 at the door and all proceeds from the evening will benefit AWF.
The show starts at 9:00p.m.. Surrey Lane will be joined by special guest Bill Fleischer. The evening will also include a special auction of sports memorabilia courtesy of Steiner Sports Marketing & Memorabilia, Inc. The auction features items from the NY Yankees, NY Mets, and the Boston Red Sox. An AWF representative will also be on hand with updates on our latest projects along with AWF merchandise for sale.
Pop-rock band, Surrey Lane, is a popular figure in the New York City music scene. The band released Some Days to national radio in late 2003 and it charted in the Top 100. In May 2004, the band began The Long Way Home Acoustic Tour taking the band to 26 states and over 250 performances. The band performed songs from their recent CD, The Long Way Home, and their self-titled Surrey Lane. The band shares AWF’s commitment to working for positive change in the world and is pleased to have an opportunity to assist with this commitment. The Hoboken concert is the first in a series of planned benefit shows. Future shows will be announced soon.
