African Well Fund is closing out this year’s Build a Well for Bono’s Birthday campaign with a twist – a 24 hr. online giving event from 3:00 p.m. EST Friday May 9th to 3:00 p.m. EST Sat. May 10th.
Dubbed “Tweet a Well for Bono’s Birthday”, we are asking supporters to tweet, blog and post to encourage others to donate using the hashtag #Bonowell. Donors can follow results live on Crowdrise.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to fund a community-based water and sanitation project in Angola. The project, which will be implemented by African Well Fund partner Africare, aims to increase access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation for more than 12,000 people in the Ebo municipality of the Kwanza Sul Province .
