Last night’s Vertigo’s Eve party at the San Diego Hard Rock Café was an enormous success! The party, hosted by U2 fan site @U2, served as the kick-off event for this year’s “Build A Well for Bono’s Birthday” campaign. The sold-out show featured a donated performance by the Southern California-based musicians Joshua Tree Band (a U2 tribute group), and raised $3500 for water projects in Africa.
The African Well Fund would like to thank Sherry Lawrence of @U2 for organizing the event. Our thanks also go out to Matt McGee and all the @U2 staff for their unprecedented support, the Joshua Tree Band for donating their performance, and of course the fans who attended the party, bought t-shirts and continue to show their commitment to our cause.
